Alameda Water Polo Club (AWPC) Announces Splashball for Kids 10 and Under
If you’re interested in Splashball for your child, you’re at the right place! Our program offers an introductory camp that practices three times each week at Emma Hood Swim Center on the Alameda High School campus in Alameda, California.
Our program introduces kids to a fantastic sport as well as provides them an opportunity to make new friends, experience an amazing fitness program and have a great time in the pool. Splashball is not a competitive environment. This is fun!
Splashball participants will learn how to play the game of water polo and will enhance their swimming skills. Kids build endurance and muscle tone while learning how to work as part of a sports team.
Requirements:
Your child must be able to swim–and that’s pretty much it. They don’t need to be competitive. They just need to be able to be safe in a pool and play well with others.
Practice schedule:
For our Spring 2020 Session, all practices are at Emma Hood Swim Center at Alameda High School:
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8 pm and Saturdays from 10:30 am to 12 pm
Here’s how it works:
- Register online – CLICK LINK HERE. You’ll register yourself as a parent and then provide basic info about your child.
- Pay online – We use the PayPal payment system. If you don’t have a PayPal account, no problem! There’s also a link so you can use a credit card or e-check
- Show up at practice ready for fun! Bring a towel and goggles. While we suggest maybe jammers or the like as a starter suit for boys, your child can go with basic swim trunks and that’s OK, too.
