PayPal eCheck setup instructions

To use eCheck, you also need to have your PayPal account linked with your Bank account, and money is taken out of your Bank account. Instructions for linking bank account are below.

In addition, you need to remove any credit/debit card as your backup funding source in your PayPal account: Step 3 below. The eCheck option will not appear if you have any credit/debit cards as a backup funding source.  (You can add the credit/debit cards back to your account at a later date)

Paying by eCheck saves us from paying some of fees that PayPal charges – thank you!

Here are the steps to send an eCheck:

• Log into or create a PayPal account.
• Link your Bank account to your PayPal Account. If your Bank account is already linked to your PayPal, go to Step 3.
  • Click Profile near the top of the page.
  • Click My money under My Profile.
  • Click Update, or Link bank – in the Bank accounts section.
  • Click Add
  • Enter requested info and click add Bank account or Select Checking or Savings account.
• If you already have a credit card entered into your paypal account, make sure you select “Change” before you make your payments.
• Once you hit change, select “instant transfer” and your eCheck payment will be processed.
